Lever/Pad

Lever pad handles, also referred to as upvc door handles, have levers on each side to operate the multipoint locks. These come in many variations and finishes, and are suitable for a range of materials like UPVC, Aluminium & Timber doors. They are sold in pairs for the outer and inner door, with screws and spindles included. They are also available in handed and unhandled versions to suit different types of users.

These are often used for new constructions and can be fitted to replace existing upvc doors. They are usually operated by lifting the levers to throw all of the multipoint locks, and turning the key to close or unlock. They offer some extra security compared to lever handles for doors since the locking mechanism can only be accessed by entering the door with an open key, unless the door is locked.

They're not as secure as a cylinder lock, but they're cost-effective ways to add extra security to your home. The only downside is that they don't offer the same level of security like a cylinder bolt and consequently don't block access to outside if the door has been left open.
