The most advanced robots are able to identify several floors and identify landmarks, like windows and doors. The most advanced ones, like the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, have a dual-sensor navigation system that uses a LIDAR sensor to map out the space and a structured light camera at the front of the robot to identify objects in real-time. More affordable models don't have this kind of detection and rely on bump sensors, which aren't as precise. Some robot vacuums include pet-friendly features, like a small water dispenser that can be used for mopping floors and an HEPA filter that helps reduce allergens such as pet dander.
