It's also simple to use and set up. Its ability to resume the same place it left off during our tests is a great feature. It was able to do this for 77 minutes in one cleaning before the battery ran out.

Unlike some of the other robovacs we've tested, the i3+ EVO has a self-emptying bin that dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging when it's full. The i3+ EVO can be prevented from overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However it must be manually empty at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's built-in dustbin holds 2.4L of debris, which is enough to last four or five cleaning sessions before you have to replace it.

Similar to the i7, this model also uses the latest floor sensors to create maps and navigate in neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only keep one map, whereas the i7 is able to store multiple. The i7 can also use its map to create no-go zones as well as virtual barriers, however the i3+ EVO is not able to do this.

The i3+ EVO is more effective of picking up surface debris compared to some other robovacs we've reviewed, but it is not the most effective in cleaning edges and corners. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being relatively quiet. It was a bit rough on furniture, since it moved chairs away. It also made some collisions against the sides of the test bed.

The Q5 Pro's 240-minute running time is also generous when in comparison to other 2-in-1 robots that we tested. When the battery is low, it will automatically return to its dock where it recharges before resuming cleaning from where it was when it stopped. You can manage the Q5 Pro via the app and also use voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

This is the first robot we've seen that incorporates 3D mapping. This along with other advances has helped it perform exceptionally well in our vacuuming tests and mopping tests.
