Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album it was an attempt to return to the classic sextet format, and an even more consistent and powerful effort with a harder edge. Its edgier sound was indicative of the maturation of group and included drummer Bobby Kimball's improved ability on the drums and a more confident, mature vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's keyboard playing was also sharper, more complex and less akin to previous recordings.
